Salesforce: 20% of All New Code Is Already Written With AI
So Venturebeat did a brief interview with Jayesh Govindarajan, Senior Vice President of Salesforce AI.
Now to some extent, everyone in AI at Big Tech Cos is talking their own game, and that’s OK.
But the headline comment Jayesh made is important: ““About 20% of all APEX code {Salesforce’s own code} written in the last 30 days came from {Our AI} Agentforce.”

Now why this is particularly important is this isn’t just prototypes, brand new start-ups that can take a lot of risks, or code that doesn’t have to go through exhausting security and safety reviews.
No, this is code going into production at the world’s largest enterprise software company (or soon to be), now at $40b+ ARR:
” His team tracks not just code generated, but code actually deployed into production. The numbers reveal an acceleration that’s impossible to ignore: 35,000 active monthly users, 10 million lines of accepted code, and internal tools saving 30,000 developer hours every month.”
All the fastest-growing leaders I work with at SaaStr Fund, from Owner to Gorgias to RevenueCat and more, are seeing similar or better numbers.
But they aren’t shipping super conservative software to the Fortune 100. That’s a big deal.
And Salesforce showing they already are at 20% of code shipping into production being AI generated shows AI isn’t just for prototypes or small features or start-ups.
It will soon likely be 50%+ of code from AI everywhere. In production.
